My name is Staffan Odenhall. I’ve been working with music my whole life. I play the saxophone , oboe and some piano , but mostly I compose. I’ve also been a music teacher with a lot of pupils , but composing has been ( and is ) the main thing of my life.
I’ve also been painting in periods since I was very young and I’ve been part of some painting courses now and then , but it was the corona pandemic that got me into it on a daily basis. And I love it! Now I paint every day.

The techniques are often digital or acrylic , and most of the times I don’t know what to do when I start painting. Or maybe I just have a vague idea of what to do , and just start up. In the beginning it feels like I am the master of the plan , but after a while , it changes , and the painting itself takes over. Now there is a period of battle between me and the painting , but the painting always win. Now I have to carefully listen to what the painting is telling me and how much more I should paint. This is the exiting moment. Is it finished or is it not…? Often I wait some days and start other paintings and then I get back to see what I think. Sometimes I get it right and sometimes I don’t. If I don’t get it right I just start up with a new painting. I love it and I do it every day!
